2). Peripheral edema, headache, palpitations, teratogenicity are
commonly reported side effects of Ambrisentan (Letairis).
3). Ambrisentan is very likely to produce serious birth defects if used by
pregnant women, as this effect has been seen consistently when it is
administered to animals. Pregnancy must therefore be excluded before
the initiation of treatment with Ambrisentan (Letairis) and prevented
during treatment and for one month after stopping treatment by the
use of two acceptable methods of contraception.
4). Because of the risk of birth defects, Ambrisentan (Letairis) is
available only through a special restricted distribution program called
the Letairis Education and Access Program (LEAP). Only prescribers and
pharmacies registered with LEAP may prescribe and distribute
Ambrisentan (Letairis).
Bosentan 62.5-125 mg PO 1). Bosentan (Tracleer) is an endothelin receptor antagonist. It is
(Tablet) BID with or indicated for the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension.

program called the Tracleer Access Program (T.A.P.). Only prescribers
and pharmacies registered with T.A.P. may prescribe and distribute
