4). Nicardipine (Cardene) is a preferred Calcium channel blocker to use
with beta-blockers since it has less effect on heart rate and A.V. node
conduction compared to other Calcium-channel blockers.
Bepridil 200-400 mg PO 1). Bepridil (Vascor) is indicated for the treatment of chronic stable
(Tablet) QD. If nausea is angina.

Common Side Effects of Calcium Channel Blockers: Hypotension, bradycardia, headache, peripheral edema,
constipation (Verapamil) and heart failure (Diltiazem and Verapamil).
Drug Interactions with Calcium Channel Blockers:
Beta-blockers With Bepridil, Verapamil and Diltiazem, they may produce the additive A.V.
node suppression.
Calcium supplements May reduce the pharmacological effects of Calcium channel blockers.

Cimetidine May inhibit CP450 metabolism and elevate serum concentration of calcium
channel blockers.
