Verapamil 4). When Covera-HS (Verapamil) is administered at bedtime, the
(Tablet) evaluation of blood pressure during morning and early afternoon hours
(Tablet, ER) is essentially a measure of peak effect. The usual evaluation of trough
(Capsule, ER) effect, which sometimes might be needed to evaluate the
appropriateness of any given dose of Covera-HS (verapamil), would be
                                                just prior to bedtime.

5). Verelan PM (verapamil) uses the proprietary CODAS -
Chronotherapeutic Oral Drug Absorption System technology, which is
designed for bedtime dosing, incorporating a 4 to 5-hour delay in drug
delivery. The controlled - onset delivery system (Verelan PM) results in
a maximum plasma concentration (Cmax) of Verapamil in the morning
hours. These pellet filled capsules provide for extended-release of the
                                                drug in the gastrointestinal tract.

6). Isoptin SR tablets are designed for sustained-release of the drug in
the gastrointestinal tract, sustained- release characteristics are not
altered when the tablet is divided in half.

7). Verapamil may produce severe A.V. node suppression and therefore
concurrent use with Beta-blockers may require careful supervision.

8). Verapamil in combination with other drugs:
                                                a). Verapamil and Trandolapril (Tarka)

Felodipine 2.5-10 mg PO 1). Felodipine (Plendil) is indicated for the treatment of hypertension.
               (Tablet, ER) QD (ER) without
food or with a 2). The use of Felodipine (Plendil) has been associated with mild
light meal. gingival hyperplasia and peripheral edema. Peripheral edema is
generally considered to be dose related.

3). The bioavailability of Felodipine (Plendil) is influenced by the presence
of food. When administered either with a high fat or carbohydrate diet,
Cmax is increased by approximately 60%; AUC is unchanged. When
Felodipine (Plendil) was administered after a light meal (orange juice,
toast, and cereal), however, there is no effect on Felodipine
pharmacokinetics. The bioavailability of Felodipine was increased
approximately two-fold when taken with grapefruit juice.

4). Felodipine in combination with other drugs:
                                                a). Felodipine and Enalapril (Lexxel)
