International shipping and customs
Shipping Policy
Please review important customs, duty, and international shipping information before placing your order.
International Customs and Delivery Information
Each destination country may charge customs and administrative fees on shipments containing dutiable items. General customs information is available online through the World Customs Organization and destination-country customs websites.
Customs Information
For Postal Service customs information, refer to the International Mail Manual (IMM), Section 123, and individual country listings. Customs regulations and fees are outside the control of the U.S. Postal Service. For country-specific details, you or the recipient should contact the local customs office directly.
Duties, Taxes, and Fees
All items entering a foreign country are subject to customs inspection and may be assessed duties, taxes, and fees according to that country’s laws. Whether charges apply usually depends on the item and the value thresholds established by the destination country.
Payment Responsibility
Customs duties, taxes, and other fees assessed by the destination country cannot be paid to the Postal Service at the time of mailing. These charges are typically collected from the recipient when the shipment arrives.
What Postage Covers
Postage charges cover delivery costs only. They do not include customs duties, import taxes, or other charges assessed by the destination country.
