Which exam should you take?
Take the MPJE if...
your target state still requires the traditional state-specific MPJE, or you are studying for a jurisdiction where the full local pharmacy law framework is still tested through the state-specific exam.
Take the UMPJE if...
your target jurisdiction has adopted the UMPJE and your board of pharmacy accepts the uniform version for licensure by examination or licensure transfer.
Before you start studying, confirm the law-exam requirement on the board side first. Do not assume that because one state has changed to the UMPJE, a nearby state has done the same.

One of the practical differences between the two exams is that the UMPJE is built with participating-jurisdiction portability in mind. That does not mean the UMPJE automatically works everywhere. It only applies in jurisdictions that participate and accept the exam.
