Toxication Digoxin Immune Fab (38 mg of Digoxin Immune Fab neutralizes 0.5mg
of Digoxin), cholestyramine and activated charcoal
Name of Drug Drug Interactions with Lanoxin
Diuretics Hypokalemia induced by diuretics increases the Digoxin’s toxicity.
Antacids, Inhibit the absorption of Digoxin.
Cholestyramine,
Colestipol
Quinidine, May elevate the serum concentration and toxicities of Digoxin.
Quinine,
Amiodarone
Thyroid May decrease therapeutic effects of Digoxin by enhancing its
supplements metabolism.
Diltiazem, Concurrent use with Digoxin may result in excessive bradycardia
Verapamil because of an additive AV node suppression caused by calcium
