12. (c) Fatigue, malaise, low grade fever and joint ache are common symptoms of S.L.E. Dryness of mouth is an adverse effect of anticholinergic drugs.

13. (c) Loniten (Minoxidil) is associated with hypertrichosis (excessive hair growth). Minoxidil is available as OTC product under brand name of Rogaine. Rogaine is used topically to reduce male pattern baldness.

14. (e) Neutropenia, proteinuria, hyperkalemia and dry hacking cough are common adverse effects of Ace-Inhibitors. Sialism is not a side effect of Ace-Inhibitors. It is generally reported with Trazodone.

15. (a) Verapamil has a high negative inotropic and A.V. node suppression properties. This restricts its use in patients with CHF or in patients that are currently on any b blocker.

16. (a) The common adverse effect associated with use of Verelan is constipation. Peri-Colace is drug of choice for treatment of above side effect.

18. (c) Coagucheck is a new device for controled of Coumadin therapy. It helps to measure prothrombin time.

19. (e) Allegra (Fexofenadine) is an active metabolite of Seldane (Terfenadine). Liver metabolism of Allegra is negligible compared to Seldane. It is antihistamine agent with low sedation properties. It is a H1 receptor antagonist useful for treatment of allergy problem.
